All visa related work of Azerbaijan are administered in Pakistan by the Embassy of the Azerbaijan, which is located in Islamabad. The country does not own any other consulate or representative office that could handle these requests in Pakistan.

If you need visa or consulate service, you have to secure an appointment through the official electronic portal. The embassy does not entertain the appointment booking process through walk-ins, and also keep in mind that there are no authorized third-party agents or private visa centers for Azerbaijan.

2. No VFS or Private Agents

Unlike many other countries, Azerbaijan does not use VFS Global, Gerry’s, or similar third-party service providers in Pakistan. Everything is handled only through the Embassy in Islamabad.

3. Visa Fees

  • Single-entry visa: USD 20
  • Multiple-entry visa: USD 350
  • Single transit visa: USD 20
  • Double transit visa: USD 40

Exemption: Holders of diplomatic passports from Pakistan are allowed to travel to Azerbaijan without visa of up to 30 days stays.
Processing Time: Normally takes around 7 working days.

4. Visa Application Process

To apply for an Azerbaijan visa in Pakistan, follow these steps:

  1. Book your appointment online via the Electronic Appointment Portal.
  2. Visit the Embassy in Islamabad on the given date and submit your documents in person.
  3. Provide biometric data.
  4. Attend an interview if asked.
  5. Wait for your application to be processed and approved.

5. Documents Required

Applicants generally need to prepare the following:

  • Completed visa application form (neatly filled by hand).
  • Original passport (copies not accepted).
  • Two recent passport sized pictures with plain white background.
  • Official Letter of Invitation from Azerbaijan (endorsed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Baku).
  • Bank statement showing financial stability.
  • Hotel booking confirmation.
  • Return flight ticket.
  • Valid medical certificate.
