Canada maintains its diplomatic presence in Pakistan through its High Commission in Islamabad and consulates in Lahore and Karachi. These offices offer consular services, handling emergency assistance to Canadian & Pakistani citizens, and documentation matters. For visa and immigration applications, Canada has participated with the VFS Global Visa Application Center (VAC) in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi.

4. Canada Visa Application Centres (VACs) – VFS Global

All visa and biometric services are managed by VFS Global in Pakistan:

Important:

• Appointments for biometrics are mandatory. Walk-in applications are not accepted.
• VACS only handles logistics; Visa decisions are made by IRCC (immigration, refugee and citizenship Canada).

5. Visa Fees

• Visitor Visa Fee: CAD 100 (approx. PKR 16,900)
• Biometric Fee: CAD 85 (approx. PKR 14,300)
• Service Charges: Additional VAC service fee (paid in cash at the center).

6. Key Notes for Applicants

• All visits to Canadian missions and Visa Application Centres (VACs) must be scheduled in advance through a prior appointment.
• The fee is not refundable, even if the visa is denied.
• VACS also offers alternative payment services such as photocopying, printing and courier returns of passports.
