All visa and consular services of Ireland in Pakistan are provided directly under the Irish Embassy Islamabad. Visa applications can be submitted through the Embassy or VFS Global Visa Application Centres in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi.
All appointments are booked only through the online AVATS system (the Irish Government’s official visa portal). No middlemen or agents are allowed.

How to apply for a visa to Ireland
- Visit Ireland’s official visa portal, AVATS.
- Fill out the online application form and make an appointment.
- Submit documents and biometrics at the selected VFS center (Islamabad, Lahore or Karachi).
- All the files will be sent to the Irish Embassy in Islamabad.
- If necessary, the embassy can call you for an interview.

Important Tips
- Ireland has only one embassy in Pakistan, in Islamabad, and no consulates in Karachi or Lahore.

- Visa processing can take several weeks, so apply well in advance of travel.
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) rules of both Pakistan and Ireland are applicable in cases of long-term visa or residence.
