In Pakistan, all visas and consular services for Portugal are directly controlled by the Embassy of Portugal in Islamabad. For visa applications, Portuguese officials work through VFS Global Visa application centers located in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi. There are also honorary consulates in Lahore and Karachi in Portugal, but they are only for general help – they do not process visa.

2. VFS Global Visa Centres in Pakistan

Portugal works to achieve visa applications with VFS Global. Applicants must complete their forms online, book an appointment, and go on one of the following centers for submission and biometrics:

4. Visa Fees for Portugal (Schengen)

  • Short-Stay Visa (Type C) – Adults: €80
  • Children (6–12 years): €40

5. How to Apply for a Portugal Visa from Pakistan

  1. Go to the VFS Global Portugal website for Pakistan.
  2. Fill the online application form completely and accurately and book your appointment.
  3. Submit your documents and biometrics at the selected VFS Centre (Islamabad, Lahore, or Karachi).
  4. Your application will be delivered to the Portuguese Embassy in Islamabad for reviewing.
  5. If required, the Embassy may ask you to attend an interview.
  6. Processing usually takes around 15 working days but can extend up to 90 days depending on the case.
