In Pakistan, visa applications for Sweden are now accepted through the VFS Global Visa Application Center in Islamabad. Since July 2025, applicants no longer need to travel abroad for short-sight shengen visas, as they can be presented locally through VFS. Sweden does not operate a separate consulate for visas in Pakistan; Instead, Sweden’s Embassy in Islamabad oversees and supports this process.
Appointments are mandatory and should be booked directly through VFS Global. Embassy and VFS centers do not consider middlemen or travel agents for scheduling appointments.

- Apply well in advance, as visa applications can be submitted up to six months before travel.
- Processing times are fixed; no priority service is available.
